Message:  I know that when I told him I bought the cd, tape, what ever, called, I think, The Best of Mickey Newbury, he told me that it was an awful album. It had his picture on it wearing a cowboy hat. I think it was basically put together with songs that Mickey wrote and sang while under contract with a record company and only did they put it out, and capitalize on it, after Mickey's success with the American Trilogy song.

He also told me that the cd that he would tell people, that have never heard him before, to listen to.............. crap, I can see it in my mind. I believe it started out with the song All My Trials.

I'm going to go ahead and post this and check on the name.

Also, that's just what I remember him telling me and someone else might have a better answer. LL
