| Message: | Far from it, Ro, but you made my day. In the past 10 years, somewhere around 25 magazine articles have been written about Mickey. Most every one of those articles quotes directly from the Discography section. Mickey considered himself a songwriter. The fact that 1,200 artists have registered 1,500 covers would make him smile. These milestones are News, and IMHO, should be mentioned in the News section. The first artist covered a Newbury tune in 1965. So... the coming year 2015 will mark the 50th anniversary. We can all do the math, but this works out to one song covered every 12 days for 50 years... And counting. (The 2nd is taking shape.) |
