All is well.

Power was restored around 6:30pm. We lost it around 1:45am.

My next door neighbor had the neighbor's tree (on the other side of him) crash down on two of his cars. No damage, his son's basketball goal save the vehicles. I spent the afternoon with him and other neighbors from across the street cutting the tree away so he could move his cars.

I just got in from the neighborhood cookout. Neighbors from all over came by and partook of hamburgers, sausage and whatnot. If anything, this hurricane has accomplished one thing and that is to bring us all together. We have had the best time.

Throughout the night I had never seen blue, green, red, or amber lightening before. It was quite a sight! The wind did not dissappoint either. I had limbs and branches all over my yard. I have a wooden fence to resurrect...no big deal.

Around 7:30pm, another neighbor showed up with a Bobcat and moved the cut-down tree down the road so the county would contend with it...

Welcome to my little corner of the world where everyone pitches in to help each other. I live in the greatest neighborhood on Earth!
