Message:  So good to see you on the Porch, Mike.

My brother-in-law, who is with the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C., wanted to have his 50th Birthday party in New Orleans...so all of the siblings on Sylvia's side of the family tree met up there on St. Patricks Day three years ago.

When I asked Dennis why New Orleans, he said that he had never been there and the Red Cross research indicated that if the city took a direct hit from a catagory 4 storm, chances were good that most of the French Quarter and almost all of the older homes and buildings in the city would be wiped out. He wanted to see as much of the city as he could on that visit.

From what I'm seeing on the Weather Channel and what the experts are saying, this could be the most powerful storm to his the mainland ever. They don't have a catagory above "5", but if they did, this sucker might be an "8"!

There is no doubt that wherever it comes ashore, it will cause major distruction....and the effects will be felt for a hundred miles on either side of the eye.

Love & Light to everyone in that area.
