Bad news for me. My cousin and his wife the Davidsons have to work on a Bicycle race in Oklahoma on the same days as the Gathering and won't make it. I may sneak up earlier and eat them out of house and home. |

LL, if you can hitchhike to Fairfield (where Sam's is) then you can ride to Gainesville with John and me. I'm sure Dave will cover your room and the registration fee, and if not, you can sleep with John, and we'll just take up a collection for the fee. Do you snore?

Ok, Craig, I know you said that if I'd come you would pay my gas and lodging and eating out expenses but I'm already broke for the summer. Just to stay at Disney World is going to cost $6000 and if we eat or stock up the refrigerator or anything else like pay for the gas to drive out there and back ( two cars ) you're looking at ten grand at least.
Just this morning I bought tickets to the Taylor Swift concert, for Karley and Monica and Billy ( it's for Karley's 6th birthday , this summer) and that's going to end up in the $500 range before they even leave their driveway.
Soooo...unless you're going to pay for that also, I guess you better take my name off.

Arrival "early", around 2. p.m. to Dallas airport, Fort Worth, 13th June.

There is good news in the Gladden plans. My daughter Diana emailed me and said they would like to come, Diana Gladden Jones and Emma. At least two who won't insult me. Probably my cousin Cecil Davidson and wife Jan but he won't show up if I stay. Has something to do who is the most handsome. I lied and said it was me! |

With LL marching to other places it is safe to bring our own Blue Bell ice cream. I know that if I bring 6 cartons I might get more than a little spoonfull with LL detained elsewhere. |

When Mamie and I go see Lori Morgan, we can mention the gathering to her. When I talked to her a few months back( at Dosey Does ) I asked her if she ever thought about coming to one of the gatherings. She said that nobody had ever asked her before and she would love to come.
I guess that it would depend on how her schedule is.
