The new location sounds good and porchers who want to come in a few days early might enjoy visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards. It is a historic district in north Fort Worth that is very easy to fall in love with. Just ask Laska Shirley or Lady V...they came, they saw and they conquered, and had fun doing it. http://www.fortworthstockyards.org/ http://www.fortworth.com/01visitors/0101westernher/010116stockhistdist/010116stockhistdist.shtml We have a great little commuter train, The Trinity Railway Express, that runs between south Fort Worth and Dallas. http://www.trinityrailwayexpress.org/ And we have a vintage steam engine train that goes from the Stockyards to Grapevine. Last time I saw country singer Johnny Seay (an old friend of Roy's) he was one of the engineers. http://www.stockyardsstation.com/grapevine-vintage-railroad.html Also in the Stockyards there is an Ernest Tubb record shop where, last time I looked, Joe's book was for sale. http://www.stockyardsstation.com/index.php Just some thoughts.
