Message:  Terry...First, welcome to the Porch. You didn't know it, but you've just become a member of a very large and wonderful family. I'm sure that others, including Mick's Mom, Mamie, his two daughters, Leah and Laura Shayne and others will add their best wishes to you very soon.

I am sorry that you never had the chance to see Mickey live...he didn't tour a lot, but many of us here were lucky enough to not only see him perform, but had the opportunity to get to know him. He was everything that you might think and more.

There are still some Newburys that you can see "LIVE", if you can make it down to Austin, Texas in June. The 5th Mickey Newbury Gathering is scheduled for the 17th through the 19th. Click on the lamp in the upper right hand corner and check out all of the information on the Back Porch.

You might also visit the CD store, you will find a few Newbury items that you might not have in your collection.
