| Message: | Hey Doggie, Sad to hear of all your family is going through. I lost my dad seven years ago. Strongest, toughest man I'll ever know. When I was a kid, he'd leave what he was doing to hook up the rake behind his truck and prepare the baseball field for the afternoon's game. He'd sit up high in the bleachers and watch my basketball practices. Drive through the snow to get to the games. When cancer grabbed him and he couldn't shake it, the time lasted too long. Like Cowboy, the words "once a man and twice a child" kept coming back to me. He'd lay in a fetal position and moan, and there was nothing I could do. I haven't answered any questions, Doug, because I have no answers. Just want you to know I understand. Love ya pal. |
