| Message: | I miss so much the living room floors and trading licks and tunes. That's where the real music is found. I wouldn't trade a big recording contract for those all night guitar pulls, smiles, songs and laughter. My Lord, where did the music go? Before I found Mickey's music I was into Gordon Lightfoot. I thought he was a master because he used so many chords and his lyrics were strong. I asked Mickey about Gordon and his only reply was "Poor Gordy". I never got the chance to asked him what he meant by that, we were interrupted, but I do recall Gordon singing " I sat and sang my songs on Susan's floor". I spent many a night on someone's floor playing my heart out for nothing but the pure enjoyment of the comaraderie and the moment. Those were the days. |
