| Message: | Beatle George Harrison made headlines in August of 1967 - the Summer of Love - when he took a trip to San Francisco to see what the hippies were up to. Mickey and Roger Miller and a few other Nashville cats made the pilgrimage, too. Mick headed up to Haight-Ashbury to check out the “real” flower children. “I got there a little bit late,” he said. “They had all moved to Oregon..." Mick would later record "Flower Man" at Cinderella Studio in Nashville during the summer of 1969. |
