Subject:  Yeaaaaa   for Rene!
Message:  Hello Dear Ones,

I've delayed writing this e-mail because there was a chance I could start it with our new room number. Ever the optimist!! Not today and probably not tomorrow. Rene is still collecting fluid around her lungs. The volume is minimal, but since she has drains in place, doctors are wary of taking her out of ICU until more is determined about origin, etc. New x-rays tomorrow am. Hopefully, with better results.

Now for the great news! Rene has been breathing on her own for over 48 hours. She has passive oxygen available but no assistance in breathing. Also, she was able to sit up in the flex chair today for over three hours. I'm amazed at how strong she still is. Is God good or what?

Every day brings a new blessing. We are so grateful to our awesome God. We are also grateful for the prayers that He surely hears.
