Message:  The driver stopped and asked if I wanted her to call 911. I said yes and was just staring at her and she said she was the person who hit me. At that point, I hadn't even pieced together that I'd been hit by a car. All I knew is that I was on the corner one minute and lying in the middle of the street 15-20 feet from the crosswalk the next minute, dizzy with pain on both sides of my head. I didn't figure out till much later going over it with the policeman that I'd crossed three or four lanes of traffic and the median strip before I got hit. I have no recollection of any of it.
