| Message: | I was on the air in San Francisco and kept our TV monitor on the Golden Gate Bridge fully expecting to see it disappear.It was also my first experience with minor mass hysteria as people in panic were calling and saying:"THE BRIDGES ARE CLODED! THE BRIDGES ARE CLOSED! They never were.Many(including me since that's how I get home)were concerned about the Bay Area Rapid Transit tube that runs beneath San Francisco Bay. Joe is right. Whatever innocence we had left evaporated along with all those lost people in an incomprehensible act of ultimate horror. |
