Talk about rainy day blues!!!! Went to Los Angeles in the rain. Spent a couple of days there in the rain. Got two daughters and some grandkids there and some went cruising and the other two went with us to cousin's wedding and a visit to my Bro. Decided to go home before the heavy rains hit. Too late. We changed Interstates and they had excavated sides of road to widen the highway and the heavy rains eroded the hillside. The traffic of people trying to get out of L.A. was very heavy and it caused flooding and erosion leaving only one lane for about 8 lanes of traffic with 50 MPH winds and heavy downpour. Only took 3 1/2 hours to go through that bottleneck. Sure glad there was a McDonald soon for the ladies potty chair. Glad to be home in the bay area where we only have rain and today beautiful sunshine. Smiles on everyone's faces. Rain due on Christmas but no snow |
