Message:  Day Three is about to begin here in cool, dry Houston. It's 2 am and I think the temp is somewhere lurking 80 outside. TG for AC.

Well, since my pilot arrived safe and sound at Bush International, I presume so did I. Comming out of the terminal was like being hit with a wet blanket. So much for a welcoming committee.

But, to make up for these travails, you have GREAT company ... people this old bird haven't seen in two years (and in one instance, SEVEN). You don't REALLY want to wander too far off from the GH without a PLAN (and of course a means of transportation). So far, I have ventured outside to Doesy Doe, Walmart, Jack-in-the-Box, and Cracker Barrell. (Hey ... just navigating between the two buildings of GH can be an adventure).

The Ballroom is taking shape. Bigger than anything I've seen before. Talk about FANCEEEE! Registration starts today. Silent Auction is taking shape. Felix and Barb arrived yesterday, so the kitchen is being whipped up to shape as the rest of us sleep.

The players and characters are materializing as I write. Laska Shirl was the first to meet. Then they came in droves. April, Susan W., Sue Anne, Ernie, Erik (the Dane), Jackie, Craig and Janet, CW, Bo Roberts, Joe Z., Egbert, Jonmark, Lee, Royce, the afforementioned Cat and Barb, Dale and Deborah, Papajohn and Memesue, and a load of newbies (well, at least FOR MEW!) I can't recall by name. (If I left you out, you'll hafta lay your own egg!)

This korrespondent will close for now.
