| Message: | Mamie got to come home from the hospital today. She is improving everyday, and determined to be well enough to not only attend, but ENJOY herself at the Gathering. I made her some split pea soup she's been craving and she has gone to bed for a GOOD night's sleep. I have to go home tomorrow and Brenda and Jerry will be staying with her 24-7 for at least 6 weeks as per doctors orders. I know she would LOVE hearing from you. If you want to call her, it would be best to wait until after 11 am CDT and before 3pm, and just limit your calls to a few minutes until her breathing gets stronger IF we can get her to do her exercises (please do encourage her to do them). She is really looking great, I'm amazed by her resilience. I'm sure she'll be on here asap and let you know in her own words about her "adventures". It was Jerry's turn to go see her this morning and he did a wonderful job getting her home all by himself, except for a kleenex box that had some important phone numbers on it that is apparently missing, (heh heh). |
