| Message: | Thank you all for you kind words and warm wishes... The day was tempered by a sad incident at our school...a 2nd grader was hit by a car in front of our school...so the day was spent dealing with the aftermath of that and the kids reactions... Luckily the little girl looks to be recovering after being knocked unconscious with a skull fracture, 15 stitches, dislocated shoulder and broken arm... But Joop, yes the kids sang to me...in my music classes...and another teacher made me a gorgeous pecan pie with fresh whipping cream which we shared with a group of teachers who helped me celebrate nicely ...and then at a late meeting tonight I shared a lemon chiffon cake with some volunteers I work with...and they treated me to a lovely bottle of sparkling wine and a few nice gifts... I left the house this morning at 7:20 a.m. and after my meeting tonight just getting home at 10 p.m. my time...and how nice to see greetings from my porch family...especially after such a long day... So many of you have been such a great support for me...it's appreciated more than most of you may realize...and more than I could ever say in words... Thank you...or as they say here with a deep bow of gratitude...arigato gozaimashita... with love from my heart... April |
