Barb, My mother left us a long time ago when she had Alzheimers and didn't know us for the last 7 years of her life. My father hung on for another few years and I had to spend a lot of time with him. Then when he passed on I would sit around at the times I normally visited him and wondered why I had a lot of time I wish I could have spent with him. Then I realized all of his brothes and sisters were gone. I have two aunts and one uncle left and love all the time I spend with them. Just realizing I am an orphan makes me sad. I have offered several wealthy friends the opportunity to adopt me. |
