| Message: | Oh, me too, Miss Mamie. IF I get the gist of what is going on here, I would be happy to "make the signs and march, also". I lived on Fort Bragg when Jane Fonda came to town and tried to ride her bottom right down Bragg Boulevard and onto the base . . . . but, the Army didn't let let her get very far. HOWever, that didn't cause her to leave town. She stayed, with the newpapers in her face....and, that's my point. If you can't get on a military base to say something, you CAN say it from OUTside the base. Jane set up shop downtown in the worst parts of Fayetteville and preached out of the bars and hooker joints. These are two very different issues . . . but can be treated in exactly the same way to get a point across peacefully. I would imagine that this particular Drill Sergeant has already been removed, but I "have the right" to be wrong, right? Even if it were an issue for the soldier to be allowed only mail from his immediate family, that message could have been relayed . Okay, this is Judge BGee's ruling.... " I have ruled for the soldier and this is what is to happen. The soldier can give the adresses of THREE persons he can receive mail from. IF parents are divorced, the first two would be his mother and father, and the third would be his fiancee. " Court dismissed. .... (Now, we ALL know that a civilian judge has no say in a military matter in almost every situation.) I can see the Army's side of it to a point, but not to the point of punishment when trainee is not aware of said reQUIREment !! Duhhhhh. Whatta you think, Karen ? Huhhhhhhh? But, I also know a secret. Been around for a long time militarily. There are a certain group of "men" who love to cause pain to their fellow man. They do. So, they walk about LOOKING for something that will allow them to do that legally. It's nothing new. Wow, I should have stopped this one after the first paragraph. But, as you can see, I didn't !
