Subject:  Visitin' the porch
Message:  Just signed up a couple days ago to this wonderful gathering of kindred spirits. I didn't realize there were so many devout Newbury fans around. I got turned on to him when I was about 16 in about '68 or '69 by my oldest brother; Eddy. He introduced us to LOOKS LIKE RAIN and 'FRISCO MABEL JOY......and I've been hooked ever since. Thru the years, I've always claimed him as my all-time favorite artist and almost always had the privilege to inform people just who he was, since you must admit; he was a household name to only people who truly knew music and authentic musical talent. The average joe was ignorant. I've taken upon myself the joyful task of informing them about the best American singer/songwriter of the past half century. Now I feel at home here. Thank you for the meeting place.
