Subject:  The Life of a Truckers Wife
Message:  My heart beats faster as I watch you walk through the door.
My smile is brighter than it was the day before.
You are the light of my life, you’re the one that I want.
Without your love all that would be left is sorrow.

“Darling kiss me now like there would be no tomorrow.
Kiss me now like you did before.
Kiss me darling just like that once more.”

We’ve spent many hours apart as you drive the long haul once more.
And my heart breaks as you walk out that door.
Now I sit by the phone, for I know you’ll call just half past four.
As I smile while we sit all alone with just the phone between us.

“Darling kiss me now like there would be no tomorrow.
Kiss me now like you did before.
Kiss me darling just like that once more.”

The life of a trucker’s wife is not an easy one, but it’s my life.
The miles fly by just one mile at a time and I would have no other.
Our friends ask me how we do it year after year.
I just smile and say we take it one day at a time.

“Darling kiss me now like there would be no tomorrow.
Kiss me now like you did before.
Kiss me darling just like that once more.”
