Message:  Jackie, we have friends with big gardens and have had our share of green beans, zuccini and summer squash, berries, cucumbers and tomatoes. I could be a vegetarian, I think.

This is berry country. Today we tried the salal berries at the beach. A park ranger said they are similar to blueberries, but I found them yukky. And they weren't poison.

Wild blackberries grow all over this country, so many people are making jam, jelly, pies, etc. Oh yes, and some have bees who are busy with their blackberry honey. "wink"
