|Message:||It was a wonderful day. The weather was beautiful and there was not a cloud in the sky. Even the moon was in the sky....it wasn`t until 11.30 that the silver half moon disappeared behind the mountains.
We went to the Westfalia House. On our way a wild deer ran across our path which surprised us very much as we have never seen deer there before. A little way on we saw two more grazing in the shade under a tree. Further up a cowherd came along driving his small herd down the mountain. All in all it was very idyllic and enchanting.
We met some great people at the mountain house. Everybody greets everybody else in the mountains and all are equal. Most people were so enthralled with the beautiful weather and scenery but discerned at the fact that the glaciers are rapidly melting due to global warming.
Needless to say, Markus decided that we hadn`t done enough climbing and so we walked up further to the glacier. What goes up must come down and it was a long way down.....my poor knees.
All in all it was a lovely day....all that was missing was the Westfalia Waltz.
I`ll put some photos on myspace if anyone is interested.
