| Message: | After I sang at the first gathering I was able to make in Austin, a little roly poly bald man came up and opened his heart to me like I'd known him all my life. It was the beginning of a never ending friendship. It hurt me to think of Ron enduring the hardships of his malady and the hardships it placed on his family and friends. He always thought of others more than himself. I have lots of things with his name on them that I treasure, like an advance copy of his cd about Mickey, odd songs that never made it out on the market and other stuff that I will always treasure as much as his gentle nature and his velvet voice. Goodbye my friend, see you soon. Tell Mick I'm sorry I never got to spend as much time with either of you as I wanted to. Sean an Lana will be in our thoughts and prayers. |
