| Message: | Here in the late nighttime in Denmark, just now, I have listning to JONMARK live "Folk at the Cannery", from back in 1999. First this evening I watch group Dubliners live from Dublin on dvd, later John Denver on dvd also singing a J.W. song "Postcard from Paris" with J.W. on piano - Denver told. Then I go over to a listning to a audio cd with Jonmark. There he also tells a great story from when he met John Denver and sings one of Denver songs. I never have told JONMARK how great a voice he has and what great songs he write - maybe I have say it before to him, at some Gathering from 2004 and ahead - but who cares. And Bree, he is lucky to have her, and that he found her first before me! He have recorded "Highwayman" by my "good music friend" Jimmy Layne Webb on that live cd too. I be with Jimmy in London in late September. Hopefully I can tell him about Jonmark how great Jonmark is, and if I can get J.W. to come and play "on my ground", Jonmark have to be support (or other too, include - maybe some of the young Newbury`s), as opening act. The tears are almost there today with me - still remember the "church cermony" with Pappa John at the Gathering 2007 and Jonmark moving versions of "Bridge over trouble water". Lead singer on original, ART GARFUNKEL. As say before, Art phone me here in Hillerød, Denmark in early 1990`ties - he was in Copenhagen, at world famous TIVOLI Garden to sing - they have 150 years celebrations, at that time, and I met Art in Copenhagen short, that summmer. Will Jonmark sometimes do the same??? My love to Bree and Jonmark! sincerely erik "the Dane" |
