I am so deeply sorry for being responsible for this disappointment in me. I apologize to you, to the Newbury family, and to porch members. I
truly meant no harm. I was raised on Army bases with many ethnic folks and most of them were friends. The others I just didn't know. My new daughter-in-law is a beautiful Puerto Rican girl.
Some of us were playing a "go back in time" scenario and we were trying to save the Alamo.
I took a fork in the road and it was the wrong one. Think I'll go to the couch, as Dean Martin used to say, for a very long time.
Please forgive. I have nothing but respect for Mickey's legacy....his music and this porch.
I'm so sorry. I would never knowingly hurt anyone because of race, color, or creed. I just wasn't thinking.
