| Message: | Karen, about the CCR breakup. The Fogerty's were from this area, El Cerrito I think and the guy who had all the rights to their songs (I can't remember his name but he was Armenian I think) and he ruled them with an iron fist and John quit the group and didn't do anything for long time but finally recorded a CD that included a song "Put Me IN Coach, I'm Ready To Play Center Field.", and "Mr. Greed" on it. I think he sued Fogerty about that and won the defamation suit. Fogerty vowed never to sing another song owned by Mr. Greed. About that time his brother Tom died. |
