Message:  Just bought a great EVERLY BROTHERS include 8 cd`s and 1 dvd.
Total 204 tracks cd/dvd.
Titel: Chained to a memory - 1965-72 recordings.
A Bear Family Record issue.
Great "heavy" book include - 200 sides.

INFO:
Everly Brothers recorded "Sweet Memories" at sessions in RCA Victor Studio, Nashville Monday July 24, 1972.
Producer Chet Atkins, Don Everly sing solo with Phil join in for the song`s choruses).
Bobby Thompson on guitar, Weldon Myrick on steel, Steve Schaffer on bass and Hargus Robbins on piano.

Did Everly Brothers ever recorded more MICKEY NEWBURY song????

For FUN!
I bought this BOX because Everly Brothers already in late 1966 recorded a rare sing-/songwriter JIMMY LAYNE WEBB`s tune call "When Eddie comes home".
(FIRST TIME EVER ON RECORD with Everly Brothers - only recorded version).
One of the first recorded J.W. song.

Later in December 1966 Everly Brothers recorded Jimmy´s "She never smiles anymore" - great tune.
Both tunes with strings, and with GLEN CAMPBELL on guitar and together other from the WRECKING CREW (Phil Spector people).

In October 1966 first recorded version of J.W.`s tune "By the time I get to Phoenix" (#no. 3 ever on BMI list 1990) was recorded by JOHNNY RIVERS.
But DEMO was made a little before by TONY MARTIN.
First in August of 1967 Glen Campbell recorded "Phoenix".
Jimmy first HIT, was with Fifth Dimension version of "Up, up and away" recorded between January/March 1967.
This tune was later "BOUGHT" by TWA Airlines for a LOT of money.

Take care out there!
