| Message: | I understand that Mickey was a perfectionist and it is evident in everhthing he gave his approval to record and release. I appreciate the fact that he only wanted us to hear only the very est he could do. While he was alive, we all were happy with that arrangement. Now that he's gone, his wishes should be honored. On the other hand, his family has the right to interpret what they think his wishes might be today, considering that he can't voice his opinion. I have some stuff Mickey did and I know he would have preferred that it not be in circulation, so I haven't circulated it. Some of what I have is far from being up to Mickey's rigid standards, but I treasure it just the same. It's Mickey Newbury. This decision should rest with Susan and I'm sure she would consult with and honor Mamie' wishes. Meeks |
