| Message: | Absolutely right, Ed! You got it, partner! "Since 1965, some 1061 covers have been served up by artists from all walks of life. At current count, 810 artists have taken 122 Newbury compositions across many borders, delivering the works as pop, folk, funk, jazz, rock, soul, steel, blues, disco, polka, gospel, reggae, country, bluegrass, R&B, big band, western swing, children’s music and easy listening. Also weighing in esoterically are cuts in the Celtic domain, as well as opera, barbershop, pipe organ, marching band and ballroom dancing (waltz and rumba). Hard rockers have been Newbury’d too, delivering Mick’s material as punk, metal and psychedelia." Why not hip-hop? Cool! |
