| Subject: | Waylon Payne on CSI |
| Message: | On Thursday night at 9:00 PM (Texas Time) Waylon Payne will make his first network TV appearance as an actor on CSI Las Vegas. He's in Los Angeles filming a major studio movie right now and he feels he has a shot at doing the musical score for the film. He finished another film in St. Louis six weeks ago and has a song in the movie. It seems the female lead in the film is named Jennifer. Waylon fell in love with an old record I had by Jimmy Day singing, "If Not For Jeniffer". He pitched it to the producer and they asked him to record the song so they could use it in the film. He finished the recording right before he started work on this new project. I believe he will be in Nashville during Fan Fair to work with Kasey Jones on another video with Susan Williamson's talented daughter, Sarah. From Nashville he hopes to be able to make it down to the Frank Brown Festival for Newbury Night. Still no word on the release of "Crazy, The Hank Garland Story", in which he stars as the ledgendary Nashville guitar player. Those of you who were at Gathering VI had the opportunity to meet and hear this talented young man. I'm hoping that he will be able to return next year. Right now he's one of the hottest new actors in Hollywood. He's also working on a new CD that will contain some songs he heard during G-5, as well as his own and his mother's songs. |
