Kacey Jones is performing at The Americana Music Awards Show Friday, September 22nd at THE RYMAN AUDITORIUM (show starts at 7:00 p.m.) Also during the Americana Honors & Awards, the family of Mickey Newbury will accept the Americana Music Association's President's Award, which is traditionally given in posthumous recognition for outstanding contributions by an artist or group. As part of the presentation, Kacey Jones will sing Newbury's, Lie To Me Darlin' from her tribute album, Kacey Jones Sings Mickey Newbury. "Mickey Newbury's songs will be performed and remembered forever, and it's now time to celebrate his life, artistic career and influence on so many songwriters and musicians," says AMA Executive Director, Jeff Green. Kacey Jones is attending the Americana Music Conference at the Nashville Convention Center on Thursday, Sept. 21st and Friday, Sept. 22nd. She will be available for interviews, etc., at the IGO Records booth (# 59) adjacent to the Mickey Newbury booth (# 60).
