| Message: | Thank you, Ron, for the most resonant post since the Gathering ended. I may have contributed to Kurt's poll being taken down from Jonmark's board, though I think Jonmark shared my view that Newbury Gathering material might best be kept on the Newbury porch. At the time, I was becoming aware of some divergence of opinions and didn't want to encourage more division in our spirit. Kurt, I admire your enthusiasm and talent, and if I hurt your feelings, I apologize. I was one who, briefly at least and without any hidden agenda, suggested that it might be fun to look for an alternative site. That's just the gypsy spirit in me, always interested in new places. I am so indebted to the souls who rock on these porches and want the gathering idea to continue to be fresh, inviting. I cannot imagine a gathering without Mamie, Susie, Laura, Leah and other members of Mickey's family. As unassuming as they are, they are the heart of it. I can't imagine a gathering without Susan W and Roy. If Jonmark and Cowboy are there, I want to be there, too. I also cannot imagine a gathering without "the voice." Your voice, Ron. That voice always seems to speak for me, and I know many feel the same. Good to hear it again! DL |
