Alex, where in Scotland do you call home. My niece just got into Edinburgh today for a six week stay. I know several other people that live in Edinburgh and then another friend of the familys father lives in Glasglow. I visited Scotland back in 2003 for two weeks and stayed at the Roxburg Hotel in Scotland. I had a good time sightseeing but a bad experience at the Hotel I stayed at. Very beautiful Hotel but someone stole 500.oo and a wedding ring from my room while I went out to eat one evening. The police came but nothing ever became of the theft. The hotel camera was not working and the hotel staff except for the desk clerk and a few others were contract workers so the Hotel assumed no responsibility. Fought with them a bit when got back in the states but to no avail. Doesn't take away from the nice trip though, it could have happened any where..... |
