| Message: | For those that don’t know my daughter Monica teaches Pre Kinder ( 4 year olds). I got this email from her this morning. “One of my parents not from this year but from the last 2 years--I had both of her litle girls--committed suicide this Sat. night. It is NOT good around here. The little girls don't know what happened and the kindergartener is coming to school to graduate this afternoon. Kristen is beside herself--she doesn't know how she is going to look at her and call her name to graduate--Katy may call her names as of right now. Both of us have been crying all morning. She was a very involved parent and I just don't understand how this could happen. “ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This afternoon the daddy showed up, hugged Monica, and broke down crying. Needless to say. so did Monica. They talked for quite awhile. He has a lot of respect for Monica and she did a lot of listening and told him a few options that he had through the school. He said that they had had a wonderful day as a family all Saturday and he just wanted to know what happened. Monica said she cried as she watched the dad sit there with the rest of his family and his little girl crossed the stage. I’m going to brag here and say that I have a neat kid. She’s the kind of person everyone wants to be around and she’s always for the underdog. She gets three of four calls every morning from other teachers making sure she’s up and her husband Bill says that as soon as Monica gets home the phone rings continuously. When not pregnant she’s in constant pain with her endometriosis and while pregnant she throws up anywhere from three to eight times a day but keeps on going. My baby girl is a hero of mine. |
