| Message: | I read a story that Murray K got his hands on a demo of the Marcels' Blue Moon and played it 26 times in a row on the radio. Blue Moon bumped Lawrence Welk and Bert Kaempfert from the top of the charts back in 1961. Yikes. Elvis in the army, Little Richard in church, Buddy Holly in the ground, and Chuck Berry in jail...there was room at the top in 1961. Two more strikes, you say? Was it Fred Johnson? |
